Lacking in confidence and self-esteem can be extremely debilitating, both socially and at work. The need for reassurances, or the tendency to pass decisions to others can escalate into low self-worth and an irrational focus on criticism. This results in being easily railroaded into decisions, or withdrawing completely to avoid putting yourself in situations that make you feel insecure.
