A personal mission

At The Life of Riley, I have successfully helped children, teenagers, adults and groups to overcome a variety of issues including fears of busy environments, phobias, anxiety, depression, anger, exam stress, grief, medical conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome a variety of addictions including smoking, and much more.

By using a variety of tools and techniques, I help clients to help themselves by changing negative thought patterns into a positive outlook with future-proof confidence.

My mission is to help clients overcome problems and live their lives to the full. Achieving this together is a proud moment for us both!

I’m passionate about what I do. I continually update my knowledge and skills to provide the most effective, research-based and safe support for my clients. Scientific evidence upholds my belief that any changes brought about by hypnotherapy are sustainable in the long term.

Solution F

Research and practices for a modern era

I have long been fascinated by the power of the subconscious as a natural way to achieve peace of mind and body, and enhance our ability to reach our true potential. I trained in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy to create The Life of Riley, because it combines psychotherapy with hypnotherapy; a modern approach that provides comparatively quick results for clients and is much more effective than hypnosis alone.

Extensive research helps me to incorporate the most recent evidence emerging from neuroscience into my work in my hypnotherapy practice. I combine this approach with the very best elements of Solution Focused Therapy techniques, Brain Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Psychology (CBT) and Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). I find it immensely rewarding and a privilege to help people feel better or achieve a challenging goal.

First Hand Experiences

Having experienced a lengthy period of anxiety, depression and eating disorders myself in the past, I fully understand that no therapist can ever truly experience the daily struggles of the client, but I do have unique insight for both sides of the conversation and am able to spot the signs of anxiety.

I know from both professional and personal experience that Solution Focused Therapy and its focus on moving forward, rather than dwelling on problems, works and keeps on working long after therapy sessions come to an end.

I’m here to offer expert, confidential, friendly help. Mine is a positive therapy, and an experience that I encourage my clients to enjoy.
